About this trip

Imprint has adapted our travel approach to cruises. As with all cruises, after check-in you will be able to unpack once and settle into your cabin for the entire trip with all meals included. As you expect from us, the cruise includes ALL scheduled excursions and guides. Typically, an Imprint tour is a bit more expensive due to the extra inclusions, but in this case we are able to offer this cruise for a price considerably less than competitors. We’ve partnered with Antarctica 21 and we’ll be sailing on the elegant Magellan Explorer. Additionally, our cruise features buffet breakfasts and lunches and three main course choices at dinner. Included at no extra cost: wine, beer, juice and soft drinks with lunch and dinner; coffee, tea, chocolate, water and snacks throughout; insulated/waterproof boots for shore excursions; and lectures/presentations on board.

Trip Highlights

  • All-inclusive: All meals (including wine+), excursions, presentations, and lectures are included. As on all Imprint Tours, tips are also included.
  • Wildlife: We expect to see whales, penguins, seals, and many species of birds.
  • Excursions: We will enjoy 2 zodiac excursions per day while in Antarctica. And we will set foot on the Antarctic continent.
  • Polar Plunge: For those who choose, the famous "Polar Plunge" is available.
  • Presentations: A variety of interesting and professional presentations will be given during the cruise.

Q: How early in the day can I book my departure flight on April 4?

A: Antarctica 21 recommends not booking your departure flight from Ushuaia no earlier than late afternoon.

Participants should be in good health and capable of handling such activities.

Tour Member Expectations

Q: What mindset should I have for the tour?

A: Be flexible, independent, and personally responsible. Expect challenges and surprises, especially in less-developed areas. Positive, flexible attitudes contribute to a better group experience.

We at Imprint Tours believe travel broadens horizons, introduces new ways to see the world, equips us with a new frame of reference for evaluating our own society, breaks down prejudice, and promotes global understanding. Therefore, we endeavor to “Travel with Intent”: an intention to take a reflective, introspective approach; connect with the cultures we visit; and balance the enjoyment of discovery with responsible travel. We want our “imprint” on the planet to be light and our “imprint” on the local culture to be positive.

Reviews

It was a great tour! We loved India--the gorgeous temples, forts, palaces, and especially the Taj Mahal and the sacred sites in Varanasi. Our guide, Chetan, was very organized, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs. Also, the accommodations were exceptional. We often had free time during the hottest part of the day and it was nice to enjoy the pool and grounds of the hotels where we stayed. We also had an exceptionally nice group of people to travel with.

The trip had the perfect balance between group activities and down time. Food and accommodations were wonderful, and our guide Chetan was a real gem! He was an expert on all things to do with Indian culture, and language, and he was sensitive to the needs of the group. The trip exceeded my expectations.

I just returned from the Northern India tour and it was truly the experience of a lifetime. India is a mysterious, complex and beautiful place, but I think what truly made the experience incredible was our incredible guide Chetan. He was a marvel! In ways both big and small, he "unlocked" the India experience for us. I don't believe that the experience would've been half as good without his contributions (many contributions). I can't say enough about how he continually looked for ways to demonstrate the "real" India to us and how each thing was always done with great generosity and thoughtfulness. I am so thankful to have been on this tour that I will truly remember for the rest of my life! Thank you so much!!
